We are building technology that helps companies of all sizes to handle the complex challenges that come with carbon pricing regulations in international trade. We are driven by the goal of saving companies time, resources and money so they can fully focus on their core business.
Built by Experts
kolum was founded by Helge and Marius at the end of 2023. Helge, a doctoral candidate at the University of Münster who has been researching the legal implications of the EU CBAM since 2021, began offering webinars for affected companies at the beginning of 2023. After exchanging ideas with hundreds of companies and learning about their problems and challenges firsthand, he turned to his friend Marius. Together, they conceived an MVP to address the immediate challenges of CBAM. Encouraged by the strong traction from both SMEs and larger companies, they decided to develop the company with a larger vision for an end-to-end technology solution. They are now working with a small, fantastic team to make carbon border adjustment mechanisms simple and manageable for organizations of all sizes.
